To run the app: showing your logbook and records, computing fishing conditions for your chosen spots, powering social features you opt into (feeds, crews, leaderboards), and managing your subscription. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Your data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider) and served via Cloudflare. Weather, marine and tide data comes from Open-Meteo and Stormglass; live English river readings come from the Environment Agency. Those requests include only the rounded coordinates of the spot being looked up, never your identity. Apple processes App Store purchases, RevenueCat verifies those purchases and receives CAST's internal account ID so the entitlement can follow your account, and Stripe processes web payments. Those providers handle payment data under their own privacy policies.
Your private logbook is not published automatically. When you explicitly publish a catch, you choose who can see the post and whether its map location is hidden, a stable coarse area, or a linked public fishing venue. The public version excludes your exact catch coordinates, exact catch time, private mark name, notes, and gear. Your profile and posts appear to other signed-in CAST users according to their audience and your private-profile setting. Private account data such as email, sign-in credentials, saved settings, and subscription details is not shown on social profiles.
You can edit your profile, set your account private, and delete individual content at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings inside the app, or by emailing us. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
