Privacy Policy

• Account details — your email address, display name, and username when you create an account (directly or via Sign in with Apple / Google).
• Your catches and content — species, sizes, photos, notes, posts, comments, and gear you choose to log or share.
• Location — only when you grant permission, to show nearby spots, fetch live conditions for a spot, and record where a catch happened. You can decline and use the app without it.
• Camera & photos — only when you use fish identification or add a photo to a catch. Species matching runs on your device using bundled visual references; your photo is not sent to a third-party recognition service.
• Subscription status — if you subscribe to CAST Pro, our payment provider (Stripe) processes your payment. We never see or store your card details.

To run the app: showing your logbook and records, computing fishing conditions for your chosen spots, powering social features you opt into (feeds, crews, leaderboards), and managing your subscription. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Your data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider) and served via Cloudflare. Weather and tide data comes from Stormglass; requests include only the coordinates of the spot being looked up, never your identity. Payments are processed by Stripe under their own privacy policy.

Your profile, catches, and posts may appear to other CAST users according to your privacy settings, including private-profile mode. Private account data such as email, sign-in credentials, saved settings, and subscription details is not shown on public profiles.

You can edit your profile, set your account private, and delete individual content at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings inside the app, or by emailing us. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
